How to Consign
Thank you for your interest in partnering with Silver Lining Boutique.
We are available to accept items for consignment Tuesday through Saturday during normal store hours. No appointment necessary. We do not accept consignments on Monday. If time permits, we will go through your items while you wait and select what our customers will most likely buy. We also offer a "Drop & Run" service for our established consignors. When you drop off your items, we will make our selections within 48 hours and notify you of anything we will not be able to accept. Due to storage constraints, any "no thank you" items must be retrieved within 7 days or they will be disposed of.
We also provide a convenient pick-up service to receive your couture and high-end designer merchandise. To schedule an appointment for pick-up in Birmingham, Jasper, or Tuscaloosa contact Sonja at (205) 601-6753.
Consignors receive 50% of the final selling price of each item. Payments will be made available at anytime by cash or check, or you may simply want to accumulate in-store credit.
The consignment period is 60 days. Silver Lining Boutique will set the price of each item based on style and demand. We only accept items in excellent condition. In the event that items are unsold at 30 days, price markdowns may be made. Items remaining unsold after the 60 day consignment period, must be picked up within 7 days. After this time they will become the property of Silver Lining Boutique. You may also opt to donate any unsold items to charity.
Please pre-screen your items to ensure that they are free of stains, holes, and excessive wear; clothing must be freshly laundered or dry cleaned, wrinkle-free and on hangers; must be seasonal and in style.
